Every year, in the summer, we close down Ankeny St. between 2nd and 3rd for our Annual Oyster Festival to raise money for different non-profit organizations. We set up tents and provide amazing food, beer and wine, games for the kids, information on fisheries and watersheds, and of course oysters! Talented musicians accompany this event and in past years there has been pirates wandering about amusing kids and adults alike. We try to change the food and beverages so it is never quite the same experience twice. One thing you can definitely count on being the same is the oysters. Always fresh and delicious!
